This HYBRID, full-time role starts immediately for the right fit. The Communications Director will be leading a small team and lead internal and external communications across multiple internal brands. Communications Director Requirements Bachelors degree required 7+ years experience and 3+ years of leadership experience Proven success at building media relationships and securing coverage Experience supporting multi-brand organizations, portfolio businesses, or navigating brand transitions through acquisitions Internal and external communications experience Commercial or industrial B2B communications experience Communications Director Responsibilities Develop and lead communications strategies that enhance brand reputation and support business growth. Own acquisition communications, guiding external messaging through announcements, brand transitions, and customer updates. Serve as the primary media contact, building relationships with key industry and industrial trade publications. Craft clear, engaging content strategies, including press releases, executive announcements, and thought leadership articles, that translate complex business updates into accessible narratives. Line up media interviews, bylined articles, and speaking engagements. Advise on local PR efforts and ensure alignment with corporate brand voice. Monitor brand perception and industry coverage, developing proactive and reactive strategies to manage reputation and lead crisis communications when necessary. Measure communications performance, tracking media coverage, audience sentiment, and campaign effectiveness to continuously refine strategy. Manage and mentor the creative team of 3+ people. Conduct 1:1s, handle performance issues and other management related tasks. In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
